Alice Templeton Named Public Involvement Director
New Staff Position Expands PI Reach and Capability

TUCSON, Ariz. – Alice Templeton has joined the staff of Gordley Design Group as Public Involvement Director. In this role, drawing on her extensive experience and background, she will expand the agency’s capabilities and services in public involvement, directing the Public Involvement Department.

Prior to joining Gordley Design Group, Alice played key managerial roles during an 11-year tenure at Stantec Consulting, Inc. including that of project manager. Before joining Stantec, she worked at two other local engineering firms, bringing to 25 her total combined years of experience working in the system of infrastructure for both public- and private-sector clients. In addition to holding certificates in techniques and planning from the International Association for Public Participation, she brings skills in marketing, business development and client management to Gordley Design Group. A board member of the Metropolitan Pima Alliance Executive Committee, she is also a past president of both the Southern Arizona Architects & Engineers Marketing Association and the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Society of Design Administration.

Angie Brown Elected IAP2 State Chapter President

TUCSON, Ariz. – Public Involvement Specialist Angie Brown of Gordley Design Group has been elected president of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2), an association of professionals who seek to promote and improve the practice of public participation at all levels of society. She will serve a one-year term.

IAP2 is an association seeking to promote and improve the practice of public participation in relation to individuals, governments, institutions and other entities that affect the public interest in nations throughout the world. The Grand Canyon Chapter holds quarterly meetings for public participation practitioners for support,networking and learning opportunities. More information is available at www.iap2.org.

As a public involvement specialist with Gordley, Brown is responsible for public involvement and community outreach for a wide range of projects, from transportation planning and design to construction. She works closely with project team members, agencies, affected residents, businesses and stakeholders to garner public input and facilitate communication, and also specializes in planning and managing the coordination and logistics of a variety of community participation activities and events, community advisory committee and public meetings, stakeholder meetings, open houses and special events, such as groundbreakings and dedications.

Cindy Klinge Named Vice President of Gordley Design Group

Cindy Klinge, marketing and media director for Gordley Design Group, Inc., has been promoted to serve as the agency’s vice president. In this position she will exercise overall responsibility for growth by leading agency efforts in all new business and client service functions, in addition to defining and maintaining Gordley’s corporate image in the business community and overseeing all agency and marketing activities.

In addition to her role as V.P., Cindy retains her responsibilities as Marketing and Media Director, a position she has held since 2003 and one in which she manages several private-sector accounts and a full array of agency services that include strategic media planning, media audit and research and target-market demographics. Cindy has worked in the advertising and marketing arena for more than 18 years, with more than 14 years in key management positions.

Before joining Gordley Design Group she served in key management positions in airline, travel, manufacturing, professional sports, medical and other industries.
